maxi dresses for weddings - yes or no?

I'm going to a wedding at the end of July and would love to wear a maxi dress. I don't know any wedding etiquette other than not to wear white.

Any advice would be most appreciated. x

I think a maxi dress is fine for a wedding, so long as it's not white or black.

Absolutely, just be prepared for almost everyone else to be in one too if last summer is anything to go by. Seemed to be the default choice for everyone under 50 last year. Probably because the shops are full of them and they are lovely.Hmm...
