Hi

I have come here for some desperate help, I am due to be a bridesmaid at the end of June. Went to try dress on, fits fine but need a strapless bra. I am a 31-32 JJ and have checked bravissimo etc and cannot seem to find one big enough. Does anyone know anywhere that does bras for big boobs? Getting worried about it now!

Honestly, I'd get straps added. I'm only marginally smaller than you, but even on the rare occasions I can technically find a strapless in the right size, they're, well, shit!

The only time I have worn strapless was my wedding day - and I wore a steel boned custom made corset under it. That kept them up!

For my wedding I was unable to find a strapless bra in my size.
I bought a wonderbra and chopped the straps off and didn't dance. Blush

Worked fine but no good if there's a disco!

I think you will have trouble, I am finding it impossible getting one in an E cup. Have you looked at figleaves? www.figleaves.com/uk/

Or you could try www.rigbyandpeller.com/ - even better if you could get there for a fitting with the dress.

I am 32f and love my Bravissimo strapless bra, really works :)

I'm a 34g and have a wonderbra ultimate which is amazing. Not sure they do it in a JJ but because of the style u might get away with a larger back size and smaller cup. Mine is a 34E and trust me they don't move!

Why don't you get a bra with straps that will fit. Then when you go for a fitting the seamstress could take off the straps and get it sewn into the dress. Most seamstresses who specialise in altering wedding and bridesmaid dresses will be able to do that no problem.

That's a fab idea, wheat32. I'm also cursed blessed with J-cup breasticles, and should I ever get married I will definitely be doing that!

wheat32 · 06/05/2011 16:27

Wish i could take full credit for the idea Catpower, but I heard about it from the seamstress who altered my bridesmaids dresses! I thought it was very clever and apparently done a lot.

I've got a Bravissimo one which is OK. But then I'm only a G cup!

chimchar · 06/05/2011 16:36

great idea about the bra sewn into the dress...very clever!
