I know I've picked your brain lots about my Paris trip next week and in the past you've also recommended a hairdresser. Many thanks.

The other thing I was thinking of doing while there was getting a facial. I used to go to Joelle Ciocco near the Madeleine several times a year when I was earning. Sadly can't afford her now but willing to pay reasonable amount. Was thinking of trying Anne Sémonin (have had treatments with their stuff in London). Do you recommend, or is there anywhere better you like?

Suggestions from other Paris habituees welcome too.

TIA.

Hi - yes Anne Sémonin is good. But I am not a facial junkie so am not really good at advising you here.

Hello there - I recently had an amazing facial at the villa Thalgo spa very close to Eiffel tower and trocadero. It wasn't one of those where they dig gunge from your pores, but she did an astonishing massage - some of it from
Inside my cheeks - and I honestly came out feeling as if my face had been lifted. Obv within an hour I was sagging and frowning again but it did feel terrific. Can't quite remember what it was called - jeunesse soin perhaps - but wd recommend place as a whole. V relaxing and not too many whales honking on backing vocals. They have a nice combo of herbal teas and macarons for when you've finished. And rather cool computerized lockers. Big fluffy robes natch. Nice treat...

Sounds good, and I like Thalgo. Thanks to both of you.

Botox is much longer lasting than a facial for the same money!

Mmm, interesting point .....
