You cannot be allergic to nail polish, that would be actually mental. It must be hayfever or something else...

You're probably allergic to formaldehyde or some other preservative in the polish. I am.

If you're allergic then every time you make up your eyes wearing nail varnish you irritate the eyelids. The rest of my face coped.

My lower lip used to weep too. What I was doing was painting my nails and testing them on my lip to see it they were dry.

You can get non or low formaldehyde varnishes. No. 7 do them but the colours are rubbish. Maybelline has good colours but they chip. It's a pain in the arse trying to find them.

I've given up on painting my fingernails and just buff them so they're very shiny. That's not a bad look and they're much stronger now.

I can paint my toes because they're far enough away from my face, I don't think I could survive with naked toenails. They look blind to me.

Apparently the formaldehyde is in there to stop microscopic fungi spores on the nail being sealed under the paint and eating through to the nailbed.

ps Osama firmly believed that painted infidel whores would be punished, and in a way, he was right. Though he probably had something more stringent in mind than weepy eyes.
