I really really need to sort out my awful shoe collection. I currently wear: a falling apart pair of brown Birkenstocks, trainers, black heels which look so old fashioned (far too pointy of toe and heel) and a pair of chunky nude sandals which I hoped would ?go? with everything but which look terrible as they are just too chunky.

I went shoe shopping on the high street last week but couldn?t get my head around all the different styles. So many of the ?glam? options had both chunky heels and chunky soles which looked odd to me (but maybe I am completely out of touch).

I don?t have a problem in the winter as have a couple of pairs of boots which I love. However, I really have no decent summer shoes and don?t know where to start. I keep managing to put together a half decent outfit but let myself down with terrible shoes.

I guess I would like a more fashionable ?sandal? type thing, something more glamorous and something ?in-between?. I wondered if nude colours would be good as they seem to go with so many different things?

I quite like wearing heels as long as they are not too hard to walk in. My feet are wideish and my toes are not great so I don?t like to expose them too much!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can get out of this rut. Please?!?

As you would expect, I am a bit of a shoe freak... How about some sparkly kitten heels. Great for dressing up jeans, linen trousers of anything from a shift to a maxi dress. I also struggle with chunky shoes, I just think they're ugly no matter how trendy they are, and as much as I love heels they cripple me in no time. These are a great alternative, pretty and fun in a classic style and comfortable.
