Hairdresser in Ipswich?!!?

Oh please somebody recommend someone! I'm new to town, have just found out I have no children on Friday afternoon and I'm desperate for a cut. I've got long curly hair and would love any recommendations, especially curly ones. Thanks!

I've used Lewis Hair (me - long, wavy hair), but had mixed results, strangely by the same person. First time was a lovely cut, second time she seemed a bit distracted and chopped away haphazardly.

Sorry, that's not a ringing endorsement is it!

There is a Toni and Guy and a Rush which are both generally good I've found (though I haven't used either in Ipswich).

hmm... not usually keen on T&G, who did you see at Lewis Hair? I'll look them up.
I was trying to peek in hairdressers today to see if anyone had nice curly hair themselves, but no luck yet!

My neighbour has bee-utiful hair and goes to Clarice House

John Olivers are good. Thye have 3 salons in town so they might have a curly specialist tucked away in one of them.

ilovegreenbeans · 03/05/2011 20:48

Thanks for all the advice. I'll call up John Olivers tomorrow as in town would be perfect.

Paul Henri is good, it's an Aveda salon. I don't have curly hair though so can't vouch for that!

I go to Renaissance (I think it's on Tacket Street) in the centre oftown, not far from the little Sainsburys. I have medium length curly hair and they do a fab job there. I've been going there for years! Would thoroughly recommend them.

I go to Michael Richards on Penshurst Road, who are good, but not cheap. Worth it if you have stupid hair that most people can't cut though!

(Yes - it looked fab! Must have taken you and J hours! Logging off now - must stop taking over the hairdresser thread!!)

NormanTheForeman · 03/05/2011 21:54

We loved it though! See you Thurs!

I see Stacy at Hares & Graces on Felixstowe road & love my cut (short & straight tho)

NormanTheForeman · 04/05/2011 10:03

I think Petal has someone called Migel/Miguel (not sure of the spelling) to do her hair.

petalpower · 04/05/2011 21:18

Hope you got an appointment ilovegreenbeans. Sorry not to reply to your question, logged off last night and have been at work today. Norman was right, my usual hairdresser is Michele (pronounced Miguel). I've also had Susie cut my hair and Bianca - everyone is great in my opinion. I just wonder whether you'd get an appointment at such short notice though?
