Where can I get a 13yr old school shoes from, that are fashionable and fit skinny feet?

She likes ballerina pump style things. But she walks probably about a mile round trip every day so they need to have reasonable sole unlike Primarni numbers.

And her feet are very very skinny.

Help!

do they really need to be 13 years old? Wink

hope you find some!

ah, ignore me - dd1 was pestering, and I mis-read your title Blush

Can you persuade her into brogues? Topshop, Office or Urban Outfitters usually have lots and much better for skinny feet than ballet flats. Otherwise, Clarks now do a pretty decent 'young lady' range which they stock in the ladies' dept rather than the children's and which come in a couple of width fittings.

Dd just got some black brogues from Office which she is delighted with. And me.

usualsuspect · 03/05/2011 18:07

new look?

Fimbo · 04/05/2011 16:43

LOL Silverfrog. Grin

She insisted on brogues for last year and she tried on ones in Primark that were ideal and actual leather. Has she ever worn them, has she buggery. End up with a pair of slip ons from Clarks (the Mizzy ones from the adult section but even with a c fit they are still slipping off).

Will look at Office and New Look - thanks ladies.

I wish I knew the answer to this as I have the identical problem!

DD has been in the Clarks Mizzy shoes all year, but we find the back of the shoes fall apart after 5/6 weeks. Its costing me a fortune! The Clarks ones are the only ones I've found with a C width fitting. I'm watching this thread with interest!

Fimbo · 04/05/2011 16:55

Maybe we need to invent them whatsthecatch!

My dd12 loves the Primark brogues and wears them all the time. She wouldn't be seen dead in a pair from Clarks now she's in senior school. I'd say try New Look always have a huge choice of shoes in.

Fimbo · 04/05/2011 17:02

\link{http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/product-is-20342397\these} are the pair that dd has. The website picture makes them look terrible. They are a lot better in rl.

My problem with New Look are the soles/heels. She has to walk every day in all weathers, there is no other option. I would be replacing them on a weekly basis. We will look though.

Mine are in Yr 11 and Yr 9 and both have the Clarks ones. I'm afraid it was my money, so they got what I was willing to buy!

DD1 has the ballet flats (but I agree they are too wide - they seem to grow after buying even with a C fit and an insole!) and dd2 has the Clarks brogue style which have lasted really well. DD1 also has some brogues from Topshop.
