Hat and sunglasses

I always feel I look ridiculous when I wear a sunhat and sunglasses together and usually prefer one or the other but there are times when I need to wear both or I'd be uncomfortable. Any tips on how to carry it off?

When would you need to wear both?

E.g. yesterday walking by the sea. No shade, strong sun, very bright and glare off the water. I would end up either squinting or with a burnt forehead/parting. I feel that a hat should shade my eyes enough but I'm the type that almost always feels more comfortable in sunglasses.

I want to live where you do badpoetEnvy

Smile I am very lucky, it's lovely (although this wasn't where I live, but I do live near the sea). But actually not often very sunny, so maybe I should just go with looking ridiculous those times!

BadPoet I think, if you're walking by the sea and it's sunny and glaring, then just wear the hat and sunglasses, to hell with what you look like - whihc is probably not as bad as you think.
