maxi dress for a petite

Hi I have two birthday parties coming up a 40th and a 50th both in the evening and I want to buy a Maxi dress to wear I am only 5ft and am an 8-10. Any suggestions please.

I have the black and cream abstract one and the navy and white one. The black and cream one is my favourite, its a heavy jersey weight, but I need to wear heels with it, and I am 5 foot 1 inch. I am a size 10-12 with a small bust and the small is a good fit on me.

I have also heard good things about Next maxi dresses for petites - there was a thread on it in S&B a month or so back.
