Anyone recommend their eyebrow tweezers (and/ or tips on best method of tweezing eyebrows) for complete novice?! TIA.

Worth forking out for Tweezerman tweezers.

Always tweeze from the bottom of the brow. Stop and look at what you've done regularly!

Best done after a bath so hairs are easier to pull or use warm water or cotton wool pads to the same effect. Pull skin taut and pluck in the direction of growth.

Second Tweezerman.

Tweezerman are the best ones and always do it after a bath/shower.

Tweezerman.

I trim my brows a tiny bit and pluck the rougue ones on top too.

Do it with a good magnifying mirror by a bright window.

tigana · 01/05/2011 15:16

not cheapo cheapo ones, the ends don't always meet which make tweezing pretty ineffective!
But boots own etc fine ime.
I only manage actual hair removal with slanted end ones. Flat or pointy-ish ones don't do it for me.

As far as technique - as all others have said. Look in the mirror as you do it and have a think before you pluck 'just one more' in case removing that one leaves a 'gap' in the browline that you then need to either fill or pluck back to (that way bare brows lie)

Tweezerman. Had the same ones for about 15 years. worth the price. If you've not done them before then get them shaped by a professional who will then leave you with a nice shape that you can maintain.

PorkChopSter · 01/05/2011 15:32

Have them threaded or waxed professionally first so you have a shape to work to. Then Tweezerman tweezers.

I prefer Mister Mascara Japanese to Tweezerman. Just saying.

Ok, so the majority are saying Tweezerman - what tip shape do I need please?

Slanted. The best imo.
