Good quality black/white v necked tshirts

Ok, boooooring I know..

Who sells decent quality, plain v necked tshirts?

I'm looking preferably for smooth but thick fabric so that it doesn't show every lump, bump and bra strap.

Ribbed would be ok too.

Got a couple from H&M recently which were basically transparent when you put them on.

What's the quality at Uniqlo like? American Apparel?

This is the holy Grail of style and beauty threads.
The White Company looks like the best to me. It was another mmetter who recommended them.
Hobbs, M and S, gap, American apparel- all thin and crappy.

I did once get a great black v neck t-shirt from M&S. Prob about 3 years ago but yes, thin and crappy this year (and last iirc).

M&S £6. Nice thick, non-clinging cotton that doesn't go all twisty in the wash.

Not White Stuff btw, the White Company! You get 10% off with MN. I think they are £26.

The only White Company one I can see on their website is this which is nice but I'm really looking for basic short sleeve.

Have you bought from M&S this year butterbur? I might go in and have another look. The length on M&S tops can be a problem though. I'm only 5ft 6" but they often seem to be quite short.
