It's the only joy I'll get from this pantomime Grin

Am stunned at the lack of effort, although like Tara PT's outfit.

Oooh can we have some more lip reading experts - I love knowing what all those little asides are!
Loved watching it all - feel very proud to be British!

Why so many mean comments about Sam Cam?? I thought she looked great and less is more-ish - all those fascinators are naff naff naffity naff from the land of naff.

ellangirl · 29/04/2011 14:20

Apparently William said to Kate's father 'we were supposed to be having a small family affair!'. Beatrice and Eugenie looked flipping awful- like pantomime ugly sisters. I liked the top half of the wedding dress better than the skirt I have to say.

Winners for me: Zara Phillips, Tara PT, Miriam Gonzales, Princess Letizia, Carole M and Camilla, Theresa May.

Losers: the galumphing heifer york princesses, Victoria B (much as it pains me to say it, those shoes were ghastly and so was the dress below the neckline), the three Spencer girls (beautiful but looked like shopgirls)

I am channelling my inner Nancy Mitford today.

I don't know which is which in Beatrice and Eugenie - they both looked bad but the blue one was monstrous.

Sam Cam looked very under-dressed I thought - I read it as quite disdainful and disrespectful actually.

Kate M looked lovely. Liked Camilla's skirt. Haven't seen anybody else.

madammecholet · 29/04/2011 16:39

For me Kate M looked very very beautiful and she pitched her dress perfectly. Not a lace fan, but it worked so so well. The mother of the bride also looked tres chic, as did her sister the bridesmaid. (in fact I would have worn her sisters dress as a wedding dress!)

However, on the royal side, Beatrice & Eugenie look like a car crash - who stole their mirror. I thought Tara PT was attention seeking, Victoria B looked dull and her hat was just a tad annoying- I saw her spot the camera as she walked in and immediately place an arm over david's shoulder and pouted - I wanted to slap her.

Thought Queenie looked very urm, summery but good show, and Camilla looked like she'd at least made an effort.

I thought Sam Cam looked lovely, but the jewels in the hair just did not come off well, imo, they detracted & fought with the necklace - should have worn a hat.

There were some hideous things there too - a bright green siren dress and matching hat - off to google it...surely someone else saw it :)

Thought Tara P-T had a blue vagina mould on her head.....much like the one in "East is East". Fair play to the nasal-challenged one!

I thought the whole wedding lacked......"lustre". Anyone else? Joyless hymns, solemn faces, no "triuphal march" tune to leave the Abbey. Disappointed here.

Why did fearne cotton chose to morph into Margaret thatcher with that horrid pussycat bow twinset ?

Thought the Middletons put forward three elegant, quietly attractive ladies. The Royal family? OMG......what were they thinking, the two Ugly Sisters (Beatrice and Eugenie)? Someone ought to have said "NO!" you cannot wear THAT!! One looked like she had a uterus/fallopian tube cast on her head. The other looked like she had wrapped a few lengths of Boden bunting around her body. Dreadful. No Class. Princess Anne seemed to be wearing an upside down, purple potty on her head and one wonders just how BIG her hair is now. Prince Harry bless him, looked liked he was wearing his dad's suit. The braiding was over large and looked like it'd come straight out of the "dressing up box". The groom......in the Irish Guards uniform? He isn't IN the Irish Guards.....he's their Commander in Chief or somesuch?? Lordy, it was a real costume extravaganza!

The Royals are very lucky to have a few understated, attractive, down to earth (hopefully) genes to throw into the pool, given freely by the "commoners", the Middletons.

Agree entirely!

What a "two an' eight" our Royals looked. Makes me proud to be "common"!
