After some great suggestions about what to put with this dress

www.coast-stores.com/IRAH-SHIFT-DRESS//-/fcp-product/2224720479

I decided on these shoes

I also have a bag to match the shoes and I got a fascinator the same colour as the dress and had them put in some red feathery things.

Is it too much? Will I look like a parrot Smile Wedding is all cream and Ivory, I am worried I am going to like a big beacon of colour!

I have time to change things....

I love it. What a gorgeous outfit. Those shoes have made me drool.

I love colour though and I love clashing-in-a-good-way colour.

I think you will look great. And the parrot look is very now I believe

Not a fan of fascinators but like the clash

its all about the clash

Knofje · 30/04/2011 17:04

A clash, yes, but a perfect one. Excellent outfit.

polyhymnia · 30/04/2011 17:08

Oh didn't notice the bit about the fascinator. I'm a fascinator hater - and nothing seen yesterday has changed that view. But, if it's specially made for you, Im sure it will look great. Main thing is that though bag and shes match each other they create this great 'clash' with the dress and headgear.

Various outfits yesterday certainly confirmed my reservations about the matchy-matchy all over look.

LadyCornyOfSilk · 30/04/2011 17:17

gorgeous Envy

SilkStalkings · 30/04/2011 19:41

Big contrasts are great, esp if you're a winter which I'm guessing you are from choosing those colours. You'll be fine, nothing wrong with being a showstopper.

Spamspamspam · 01/05/2011 17:06

Great! Thanks for the feedback, I feel much more re-assured Smile

Understand the fascinator worries but it is actually more of a hat than fascinator and I think makes the outfit more fitting for a wedding, couldn't find a hat that went as well with the outfit.

Thanks again, feel a lot better about it, was seriously considering a change!

Also SilkStalkings, fascinating about the "colours" thing! I have never been told that before, but clicked on a link from another thread and found out that indeed yes I am a Deep Winter apparently!

love it, love it, love it!
wear it with confidence - you are going to look amazing.

SilkStalkings · 03/05/2011 16:04

Was it this one?
I'm a winter too and can spot other winters but am clueless about anyone else! It's great, means you can wear cheaper costume jewellery and silver, shove unlikely colours together and call it contrast and your LBD looks better than other people's LBDGrin. Keep an eye out for deep lilac and pale hyacinth colours - even on a scruffy day when you don't want to be quite such a showstopper you can still look amazing in the right colours.
