Large Pores

I really want to do something about my large pores. I have just googled large pores and mine are larger than the pictures of the supposedly large pored people.

Most of the advice I can find it about how to get rid of spots, but despite the pore problem, I don't really get spots.

So can anyone recommend products that will reduce my pore size and other products that can hide them?

I use a Mally beauty perfect poreless primer which hides them and also helps my makeup stay on all day

PoresNoMore by Dr. Brand works really well. I get it from SpaceNK

Chemical peel?

I'm having some success with the Neals Yard Remedies palmarosa stuff at the moment. Can't afford the pore serum yet, but have a feeling it will work wonders when I sell a kidney manage to get hold of some.

I'm not convinced you can actually get rid of them with a cream, but you can disguise them well. Clinique do a pore cream which I've had in the past, and I've just started using Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch primer, which is like some kind of miracle for making your skin look dramatically better. You can use alone, but I use mineral make-up on top and it looks amazing. I hate my pores - so ageing!

JustAnother, how much is it?

seeksnewnamewithgsoh · 29/04/2011 21:49

Ooh, just had a look at JustAnother's suggestion and I don't feel quite so bad. But the Neal's Yard serum is about £38, so not massively better. They also do a pore minimiser thing too, which is £18.

MillyR · 29/04/2011 22:30

I have the other pores no more product - the one that covers pores. I'll try out some of the alternative suggested.

The pores no more product you have suggested, JustAnother, I have a couple of samples of that. Do you put it on at night or during the day?

I'm going to go and ask at makeup counters if I can have samples of some of the primers suggested, because I have already tried three others, and am not paying out for another unless it performs a miracle and disguises my pores.

Are they usually okay with giving out small samples?

I have got a benefit and a clinique pore minimiser which do naff all. Will be stalking this thread to see what others suggest

Mum went to a demologica facial and she said her pores had been clogged with facial products.

So perhaps a good facial then changing your moisturisers etc to more natural and organic brands like Neal's Yard might be a better long term solution???
