Boob tube dresses

I'm getting on a bit but still slimmish (size 8) and with not huge boobs (32c). I quite fancy getting a strapless dress with a stretchy booby bit for holidays but just concerned that they will stay up. My kids are still quite young and I don't want to be flashing anyone! And do I wear a bra underneath?

I want something comfortable and floaty - given that I normally spend most of my time in jeans or cropped trousers and t-shits/vests.

Something feminine for a change Grin

Personally I wouldn't risk boobtube dress with small, grabby children [cblush]

My DS2 listens to Simon Mayo's "Confessions" on Radio 2 and there was a hilarious - to me anyway - one about someone attending the installation of a bishop and having a mishap with her strapless sundress when she stood up and the person sitting next to her stayed seated ... on her dress ...

But I digress. Could you maybe get a ruched-bodice dress with straps or (what I would do) sew a couple of bits of grosgrain ribbon on? With very strong thread?

Wear a bra if you look better with one on.

Alternatively I suppose you could wear a bra with detachable straps and use some of those jewelled straps that are designed to be on show - at least then if your DCs haul your frock down you will only be flashing your bra and not your norks!
