As the title says what's your routine?

What do you do on a daily, weekly, monthly basis?

I have never had one, at all, and want to start pampering/taking care of myself

ATM, on a morning and before bed i have a wash and brush my teeth, i shave my legs ect when i need to, i shampoo and condition twice a week and thats about it

How often should i shampoo and condition? what other things can i do to make myself look and feel good?

I dont even moisture...anywhere!! have never plucked my eyebrows, nothing so anything and everything that you do would be greatly appreciated

I have only recently started thinking about these things and who better to ask than you wonderful mumsnetters :o

TIA

Daily I use a face srub in the shower, and moisturise face and body when I get out of shower. Use a foot and handcream every night before bed and brush my teeth.

Weekly I tidy eyebrows if needed, shave legs (prob twice a week), wash and condition hair every other day. Use a body scrub. Use a foot file.

Monthly I have my eyebrows tinted and threaded and give myself a pedicure (sometimes have it done in a salon). Trim, shape and buff fingernails.

I have my haircut every 8 - 10 weeks and my highlights done 2/3 times a year.

Exactly what apple said! Plus proper cleanse and eyecream every night (in late 30s now so def need it) and exfoliate face and body 1/2 times a week. Makes a big difference.

I paint my nails though, love dark polish.

apple99, what's the eyebrow threading like? was thinking of getting it done but a friend said to get them waxed instead

so what products do you use?

Remove make up at night with pad.

Put on night cream.

Splash face in shower in the morning.

Put on moisturizer and then light foundation etc.

Microdermabrasion on face and body exfoliation when I get around to it.

Eyebrows threaded about once every six weeks. Never waxed Sov. Started threading about a year ago. It's very good and is the 'modern' way.

Remove make up (Neutrogena), exfoliate (Suki), serum (Estee Lauder), eye cream (Estee Lauder) and oil (Kiehls) or moisturiser (Eucerin) at night.

Wash (Body Shop) and moisturise (Eucerin) face in the morning.
Exfoliate and moisturise body when I think about it.
Home face mask (Caudalie) once a week, professional facial every 6 weeks or so.
Shave legs once or twice a week.
Pedicure (either salon or home) and eyebrow threading once every 3 weeks or so.

Get up in morning. Remove makeup I couldn't be arsed removing last night, with Garnier.Blush Apart from being a vile slut, when I do remove it at night, I never moisturise, after reading that it softens the skin and encourages wrinkles. Been doing this or not doing it, for 15+ years now. My skin is very good for my age (late 50s).

Wash face with Cetaphil. Aldi moisturiser on face and neck. Nivea body lotion on legs, arms and decolletage, every day. Exfoliate facial skin about once a fortnight, but body skin with a scrubby thing every shower, followed by body lotion. Feet exfoliated once a week to avoid the hooves look.

Pluck own eyebrows as the little buggers appear.

Nail polish on toes every fortnight, though am vowing to continue it into the winter this year, as it looks so nice.

apple99 · 29/04/2011 22:08

soverign21 I much prefer threading to waxing, I think it gives an nicer shape as is more precise.

I am not particularly loyal to any product brands, at the moment I am using a nivea face scrub (in a pink tube), Olay day and night creams, Elvive Royal Jelly shampoo and conditioner and whatever body moisturiser is on offer at boots.

I wash and condition my hair most days because of exercise/sweat.

Use a serum, moisturiser and eye cream morning and evening.

Body brush and moisturise/skin tightening cream daily after shower.

Exfoliate face and body plus shave armpits/legs at least once a week.

Pluck eyebrows once a week.

Finger and toenails painted some of the time.

Occasional face masques.

Fake tan in the summer or if going to a party.

Obviously I wash and clean/floss my teeth too!

I've never really had one either....

Shower every morning. Shave and moisturise. In summer use holiday skin, winter just body butter.

If gyming it then shower again (body lotion and more face moisturiser) and usually hairwash, deep condition (swim too) and straighten.

Then foundation/tinted moisturiser, mascara and eyeliner. Sometimes tinted lipgloss.

Paint toenails in summer. Never had a proper manicure/pedicure, but randomly file snagged nails etc.

Nighttime, cleanse, splash cold water on face and moisturise. Body butter/lotion.

Check eyebrows 2ce a week. And after a couple of years cutting my own hair am just back to going to hairdressers every 5-6 weeks.
