STIRRUP PANTS?

Merlin · 05/11/2005 10:02

Not for me I hasten to add, but my Mum. The old fashioned black things with a strap that goes under your foot?

Anyone have any idea if you can still get them and where?

TIA.

LOL Beetroot - I know she shouldn't really, but it's what she wants! Although after watching Trinny and susannah the other night my sister and I are taking her shopping and emptying her wardrobe!!!

There is no excuse for conspiracy to supply stirrup pants, merlin. Fashion police will have you bang to rights before you can say 'double denim'. JUST SAY NO!

No ! She sounds like my mum - wish they'd stop making navy shapeless tapered tracksuit bottoms. Her comment on T and S - I don't do wide ankle trousers and I'd get cold wearing something loose. Is there no hope ?!

karmamother · 05/11/2005 20:20

Does she want her arse to look the size of Wales???

Merlin · 05/11/2005 20:36

actually she has a very small arse for a 68 yrd old .

OK OK I know they are a big no no, but I just cant convince her otherwise!!!!

According to this thread they are back

fluffykitten · 05/11/2005 20:38

oooooh I had some about 20 years ago

karmamother · 05/11/2005 20:41

Merlin, I have a friend who is only 39 who still wears the bloody things. For the last 7 yrs I've been trying to persuade her to wear bootcut trousers but to no avail. And she has a huge arse. She now realises that straight leg pants are in so she feels vindicated.

Zippi - forgot to say thanks for the links. Although I think the UK ones look a bit 'athletic' for my mum IFYKWIM
