Hi..

I remember reading somewhere last year that the aldi mosituriser had come out top in a series of tests which included all leading brands such as lancome, ive bought some the other day and already noticed that my skin feels so much better when putting on make up plus it was only £2.99, has anyone else used this or even the make up, i wanted to try the concealer but they have run out in my store so waiting for more supplies, is that cos its so amazingly good? dont really want to waste more money on make up if its no good??

Read that too!

~ gets out map for the nearest Aldi ~

I really like aldi's light reflecting concealer, like Touch Eclat but £3.99! The only complaint i've ever had about it is that the 'clicker' button was broken once.

:o

IWillCountToThree · 26/04/2011 21:35

Sorry there's supposed to be an 'e' on the end of Touch!

foundwanting · 26/04/2011 21:36

I've got the combined serum and moisturiser for mature skin Hmm

It's lovely and light under make-up. Seems to be doing something with the fine lines.

MissBeehivingCorgis · 26/04/2011 21:56

I have the one found has and noticed a difference on the fine lines as well.

suebfg · 26/04/2011 22:04

I had the Aldi light reflecting concealor and the clicker button broke after a couple of uses so it was a false economy. But I do like the moisturers

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/04/2011 08:03

I use the concealer pen it does work. The creams make me blotchy so I put them on my neck where they work much better for me

sparkle1977 · 27/04/2011 11:01

I have tried one of the Aldi moisturisers and to be honest found it no different to any other moisturiser I have used, nothing particularly special. But I stopped using it after a week or so simply because I could not stand the smell, it was quite strong and not nice IMO.

missmartha · 27/04/2011 11:33

I use the concealer pen. Just as good as any much more expensive concealers imo.

Apparently their lippy is MAC, it's definitely good stuff.

I also have and love the pressed face powder, foaming facial wash and moisturiser.

All the above can probably be got for the price of a Chanel face mask. Or less.

valiumredhead · 27/04/2011 13:33

I LOVE Aldi and rave on and on about their products usually BUT I won't be buying anymore of the make up - I have tried creams which made my face burn, foundation which has very odd chemically smell about it as does the mascara.

The concealor pen is good but wrong colour for me.

reikizen · 27/04/2011 13:38

I have recently bought the face powder for 2.99 or some similar small price and it is as good as the No 7 one I usually by for around £9. Am also using their face wash which is also as good as any other.

Vix1980 · 27/04/2011 19:56

Ooohh thanks for all the info, ill definatly try the concealer pen at least and the lippy is mac... wow so stocking up tomorrow. i used to use the lancome moisturiser a gel one cant remember what it was called, it was ok at first but after an hour felt i needed to put more on constantly, i now have the serum and moisturiser from aldi and LOVE IT!!

Watch out if your in aldi tomorrow it could be me pushing my way past you to get my make up sorted for summer! x

I love Aldi lippy, especially since I'm always losing lipsticks. I have just bought a lovely dark reddy pink one, it's exactly the same shade as the Estee Lauder on I used to use, but £15 cheaper.....

MrsMeow · 27/04/2011 20:52

I've raved about Aldi make-up on here before, and I've spent a fortune on make-up over the years! (before discovering Aldi!)

The duo eyeshadows are brilliant. I use a silver/dark grey one and it stays on all day, easily as good as my Urban Decay ones. The lip glosses are great. I use a pink one that looks just as nice on its own as over lipstick. The lipsticks last ages, but I haven't been able to find a shade that suits me properly as of yet. I'm dying to try the concealer but it's never in stock! I have heard good things about it though :)

It's all really cheap as well so worth a try, even if it doesn't suit you.

Disasterpiece · 27/04/2011 21:00

I bought the blue moisturiser about a week ago.

It brought my neck out in a rash which is still there but fading and made my face break out in horrible spots.

I dont usually have sensitive skin and have never had a reaction to anything so I was pretty miffed.

Saying that it was only £2.99 so I havent wasted too much on it.

minibmw2010 · 27/04/2011 22:19

I haven't tried the moisturiser or make-up but I use the eye cream (the pink one) and have done for about a year. I personally feel it has done a great job and was definitely helping my eyes and wrinkles.

Vix1980 · 28/04/2011 08:34

Just added the eye cream onto my shopping list! x

I have tried the creams, but the strong smell is really really off putting to me - does the makeup smell at all?

valiumredhead · 30/04/2011 16:53

See my earlier post EttiKetti - I find the smell very off putting!

TheVisitor · 30/04/2011 16:58

I love both the moisturisers and the make up. I use the serum and the light reflecting day cream, plus their eye roll on which has definitely reduced dark circles. The eyeliner is fantastic, as is their pressed powder. I use the make up wipes for mature skin to take it all off again at night.
