Going on first holiday abroad with new DP in a few months and wanted to some tips from you experienced ladies on how to look my best, he loves me regardless but i'd like some style tips from the wise e.g. I've already thought about having my eyelashes died so i don't look like tiny eyes in the pool. Having a spray tan before I go and investing in lots of big sunglasses. What about those throw over dress/sarong type things? Wearing long beads/necklaces with bikini? and what should i do with my hair (long and scraggly when wet?) headband? big hat etc BTW im 5'9 size 14 good and tum but big thighs, and yes im working on those Smile

I hope you dye your eyelashes and not die them or you could look odd!

Wet hair and put conditioner in it for the day with a hairband. Wash in the evening and it will be lovely and soft.

Spray tan but it does fade very quickly in chlorine pools. I had one when I went on holiday that had a saltwater pool and it lasted a little longer.
I get my lashes dyed and eyebrows threaded and tinted (normally powder them in cause they are soo blonde!)
NO jewellery around the pool, it looks to 'try hard' I think. A little anklet or bracelet you always wear (inexpensive) or rings you normally wear. I prefer cover up dresses rather that sarongs...River Island have some really nice jumpsuit things at the moment which are great for the pool. Primark are also great for cover ups.
I normally tie my hair up round the pool. Just do it in a big messy bun and that way it doesn't get completely wet in the pool. Also it doesn't get all sweaty and stuff round your face and neck.

Don't look in the mirror. I spent a holiday wearing a fetching straw hat which I fondly assumed made me look like Victoria Beckham.

Imagine my surprise when I inadvertently caught sight of myself - the effect was more "Man From Delmonte".

Definitely invest in a good set of treatments - waxing, eyelash dyeing and a really good pedicure and manicure before going.

You need clips to keep your hair out of the water when swimming to avoid it getting wet - big butterfly clips with a flower on are good. Sarongs are good, with flat metallic or jewelled sandals.

Have you got a nice beachbag? I have Echo beachbags and they are great. And the Tintamar pockets are great inside for your suncream, keys etc.
