Tights for open-toed shoes?

Now, i know it sounds a little odd, but a few years ago I bought some tights that you can wear with open-toed shoes. They were NOT footless tights, but went over most of the foot but allowed your gorgeous pedicured big toe to be on display?

Anyone seem them around recently?

They used to be available in M&S iirc.

Certainly plenty of them in M and S at the moment. Do they work well then? Have often pondered buying but not been sure if would look OK.

They're good if you have pasty legs like me and the shoes you're wearing them with have a wide enough bit across the foot/top of the toes to cover the end of the tights, if you understand what I mean. Really not good, however, if that part of the shoe is quite narrow and shows the end of the tights. Not an attractive look.

Thanks, very helpful. Thought they might need a bit of care. Will watch out for the point you make before buying any.
