Arghh - hair crisis!

My hair's turned orange!

Does anyone have any experience of semi-permanent hair dye?

I am naturally light to mid-brown and have had low lights over the last 4 months. Unfortunately they have lifted whilst my hairdresser has been on holiday and I found myself this week with orange hair and obvious brown and grey roots. Not a good look!

I put on a light brown semi-permanent last night to try and get me through to her return from holiday, but it is still looking very red, which doesn't suit my skin tone at all. In hindsight, I should have put on Ash Brown, or another cooler colour.

So, os it too late to do this now?

If I put on Ash Brown now, will I be left with this redish colour when the Ash Brown washes out?

Will I be able to have low lights in the next couple of weeks to cover up this disaster?

Pls don't advise me to wait and speak to my hairdresser!

My mum had a hair disaster once and the company who made the dye said to use Vosene to get it out.

My hairdresser once told me to use fairy liquid. Anti dandruff shampoo is also said to work.

Thanks. The problem is, I'm not sure I want to get rid of the dye as what is underneath is even worse. I really just want to tone it down to a less redy brown by putting something on top.
