Spa in York? Can you recommend anywhere?

It would be in July or August next year, for a Hen party, but well behaved mid thirties (we'll be cackling drunkards in teh evening ) wanting somewhere not too far from centre so we can dump bags at cheapo hotel / b&b then go to spa for afternoon and then go ot kater for drunken debauchery a meal.

Would be between 12 - 20 i think, a wide ranges of budgets, so maybe something where it's not too expensive to go and use the spa facilities but then pay extra if you want more treatments?

Hi there, there is the a new hotel right near the station that has spa, the cedar court grand, its a 5 star place so its pretty expensive. A few of the gyms have steam rooms and treatment facilities. Also there is the Harrogate Turkish baths which is a lovely place to visit but that is a half an hours drive away from York. The Turkish baths can suit all budgets because you can pay about £15.00 to use the baths and then you can pay extra for treatments. I would check the website though for a timetable, also you would have to take into account travelling there.

Thanks Dosey, the Harrogate baths is an option, but I'm trying to make it a drop bags at hotel / b&b and at your destination for the day! I'm worried about herding squiffy ladies to trains from Harrogate to York We're bound to lose one, probably the Bride!
