Am I going to be stuck with pale legs forever?

I never tan.

Have tried St Moritz and Tess Daly fake tan as well as St Tropez. I have also used dove and Johnson summer sun. With all of them there was the smallest of colour change though still managed to make my legs look old Confused.

I really want to wear skirts and dresses this year. I will be doing lots more walking but nothing will change the fact I have awful legs but a bit of colour would help me feel better. There has to be a fake tan that will work on me???

Its not just the 'gradual tans' you need to build up though- even with something like San Tropez you still need to put on a couple of applications.

Also, don't be afraid of using too much! I use the ST mouse and use at least three hand sized balls on each leg.

Do you get any colour on your legs at all? I find fake tans work best and streak least when you already have a bit of base colour. I am also very pale and if I use them on milk bottle winter skin they look awful.

famous daves tanning mousse-slap it on and it really is streak free as long as you are completely covered. wash it off in the morning, bobs yer uncle! I love this product!

I get a small amount of colour but it doesn't last long, maybe 2 days max. I really want some colour on my legs to make me feel better about having to have them out of my jeans.

Sally Hansen airbrush legs - its makeup for your legs and gives you a nice colour which only washes off with soap and water. Works wonders on my pale, bruised legs where fake tan never really works

I am VERY pale and struggle to tan. I've found what works best for me (besides professional spray tan) is Superdrugs own brand tanning mousse. If I need a top up (for a night out) then I use either Rimmel or Primarks (yes really) wash on/wash off tan. I use a gradual over night one in between applications. Usually do the mousse once or twice a week.

Thanks very much for the recommendations. I hope to go shopping on Monday/Wednesday so will have a look what there is in stock.

I got the Superdrug one as the only one available. Hopefully it goes on easily, without streaks and gives me some colour.

Another vote for Famous Dave- I have the fair skin one and is great

I have a spray tan which looks very dark when it is done and I look like i've done a month on a sunbed in the mornign but when it is washed off I have a nice light tan. Then wear shorts and skirts a lot to tan through the fake tan (don'tforget the SPF).

TheOriginalFAB · 25/04/2011 20:25

That is the problem SHA. I don't tan at all.

San Tropez everyday spray tan - aerosol you do each morning until you get the desired colour and then every few days - is great doesn;t streak at all.

Does famous dave stain stuff?
