Any redheads out there?? make up to suit redhead ,

I'm naturally a dark brunette with Ivory skin blue eyes. I've dyed my hair red (mahogany) and Ive been told I need to change my make up to suit my new complexion.
What suits redheads?

It depends on your personal style to be honest.

If you are more classic then moss greens or plums inc. plummy browns and peaches look good with red hair. Coral, peach or pink blush (or muted variations of these if you prefer). Peaches, corals, russety or rose tones on the lips.

If you like to be more adventurous bright greens (anything from a light pistachio to emerald) or turquoise can look fab on eyes. Deep pink and berry tones look great for lips or brick reds (but probably not with the bright eye colours with that one)

I'm bright gold red, but I have brown eyes.... so I think it depends more on your eye colour really. What I find (and have talked to lots of redheads about this) is that I feel that my hair is so strong that my facial features sort of 'disappear' without make up (although husband tells me I'm mad!) so I like to have some definition.

For me, that means I ALWAYS use an eyeliner (a laura mercier cake one with a powder over the top to soften it), define my eyebrows (a bobbi brown powder again) and must must MUST have blusher! (again, lots of redheads I've spoken to feel like this!)

So I would concentrate on finding and eyeliner, blusher and lipstick that suit YOUR skin and YOUR red (we're all different!). We're always told that corals etc. suit redheads but I look awful in them and actually have to wear pinks (bobbi brown blue raspberry and rose petal being the only too lipsticks I can really wear) and blusher includes narrs mata hari which is INCREDIBLY strong in in the pan, but will literally last me until I'm 80 because I use such a tiny amount (at which point I'm going to trowel it on proudly using a scrubbing brush)

for some reason I've found darker eyebrows suit me me now from my brown hair blonde pencil to now lol

The colours I suggested were particularly for mahogany red, as stated. A lot of them definitely wouldn't work with a gold red obviously!

I think violet/lilac eyeshadow (depending how brave you want to be) or maybe just liner would look lovely with your blue eyes & mahogany hair.
