Should I keep these shoes - dilemma!

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 22:34

Proof that I should never be allowed upstairs in Selfridges as I have NO willpower. I can JUST afford them right now, if I budget stringently for the coming month...

Do you think they are worth it?

Are you taking the mick or have you actually bought them?!!

piprabbit · 21/04/2011 22:36

[bugrin]

In fact [bugrin] and falls off sofa to roll around on floor laughing.

FebreezeYourJeans · 21/04/2011 22:40

Had to link to spread the mirth

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 22:43

Oops, didn't link. I totally bought them ... and was convinced they were fabulous!

Am I ... Blush ... wrong?!

They have nuts and bolts on the heel!

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 22:47

I'm not staring them in suspicion ... :(

Dexter, that was part of the appeal.

Then again, I did buy a top with lots of feathers attached to the shoulders a couple of weeks ago. Big feathers.

It's me, isn't it ... I'm wrong in the head.

piprabbit · 21/04/2011 22:50

nut, bolts and ponyskin !

(Ok, it says calf skin, but it looks like pony).

1gglePiggle · 21/04/2011 22:51

Three words - take them back!
:-)

dexter73 · 21/04/2011 22:51

If you like wacky clothes and that is your style and you love them, then wear them with pride! I am afraid my tastes are a little more boring conservative.

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 22:52

It did get a bit dodgy when the salesperson tried to convince me that actually, they were 'ethical' shoes because it meant the skin of the calf (which had, in her mind, already been used for meat) didn't get wasted.

But no, I still really like them ... in my mind I was buying 'grown-up' shoes.

dexter73 · 21/04/2011 22:53

Keep them!

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 22:54

Point taken, IgglePiggle Grin

Yes Dexter, I do like wacky clothes. I always look back on them in regret, but I love them dearly at the time. Currently wearing a 50's style leather skirt and looking like a confused dominatrix!

They frighten me....[bushock]

TethersEnd · 21/04/2011 22:58

I love them.

At least they're not irregular farking choice Grin

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 23:02

Tethersend, I used to love Irregular Choice - at 15! They were the coolest, would wear them with my hair in three bunches and a parka. Even then ... anyway, glad someone seems to like them!

Sorry for scaring you jonnyfan, have a sweet milky Brew

pinkytheshrinky · 21/04/2011 23:02

At least they are not sensible flat jesus sandals which some unfortunate claimed they had bought the other day from clarks.....(prob a troll?)

That said they are awful and are gilding the lily a little - take them back and but something a little less daft - pony skin is good though

Jonnyfan · 21/04/2011 23:15

I'll soon recover! If you like them that's all that matters.

canyou · 22/04/2011 09:44

I like them but then I have just ordered these and www.irregularchoice.com/shop/womens/product/3855/fist-of-steel.html?offset=30 and really want www.irregularchoice.com/shop/womens/product/3834/i--m-bossy.html?offset=53 so yes to each their own.

canyou · 22/04/2011 09:47

fedupandfifty · 22/04/2011 14:41

I love them too. They're different, and you will stand out. Did you see their calfskin clogs?

MarieFromStMoritz · 22/04/2011 14:44

Good fucking grief Grin. Are those shoes for real?
