I haven't got dressed up for years, and I swore that I would need a dress with 'proper' straps to wear a bra for my giant hooters, but bless it, this dress is fantastic! The wedding's not til next year but I am amazed that I liked this dres and it actually looked half decent! And it was a size 16! I was a size 20 at my friends wedding last year so for once i have been shopping without kids and bought a posh dress and i am happy with how i look!

Sorry, i know it's a boring post but i'm so chuffed i had to share it with someone!

Going to wait til sales then get sparkly flat metallic flip flop style shoes to enjoy pain free all night dancing for teh wedding!

thank you! I am sooo thrilled that for once I will be having a giddy happy day with all my friends who have kept in close touch since school amd actually look ok and be happy! I can't wait! Think dh was expecting me to come home with something prom dress / smart office wear style so when he saw it was floor length, chiffon and not black he was amazed!

It doesn't take much to make me happy, but when trie it on, i thought thank buggery that i have been swimming my arse off for the past 18 months to start toning uo and losing some weight!

A not vey important cheery thread, but so many posters seem to be having crap times or feel crap (and after dcs when your body can be ravaged! I have, and often still do, feel like that) but i feel so happy after trying on v v girly dresses, that i've so many posts from posters who have the attitude of life is for living, crack on with it, taht i wanted to be cheery on here!
