What should I buy in NYC?!

Going on a trip and want to pick up some clothes, make-up and skincare (if I can cram it all in my suitcase)! What do you lot recommend I go for please?

there's a huge dept store right at the WTC site called Century 21 (or something)

my best friend and I spent 6 hours in there, it has everything from skincare/cosmetics to clothes and homeware,kids' clothes,toys etc, and it's all at bargain prices, much cheaper than Macy's etc. It was FAB

really worth a visit, but be prepared to be in there for the day.

Make a list of what you actually need or really want. Otherwise you may get sales fever and start buying a load of stuff that you don't really need or want. And you won't be able to return it when your home.
Also think about what you may need in Winter too. Maybe some Uggs etc,as so much cheaper there.
Sigh. Wish I was going.

Century 21 is the only place I would go for real bargain shopping. Otherwise rent a car for a day and head for one of the out-of-town discount outlets. Exactly where you go depends where you stay in town. I would spend one day on serious 12 hour shopping in one of these outlets and the rest on sightseeing/museums/concerts and enjoying great cafes/restaurants with all the money you have saved.
