I'm looking for a nude eyeliner

Someone recommended Illamasque eye cream a while ago.

Have seen this range on Debenhams - but not sure which colour is the best for 'neatening' up the inner eye line - ie taking away the red!

Benefit lemon aid or eye bright?

Havingkittens · 20/04/2011 20:54

Jemma Kidd does a good double ended one. A twist up thin pencil on one end for lining the waterline, and a thicker brightening one for the lid to even out the tone and take down redness.

Apology for hijack TracyK but you reminded me that I'm wanting a nude lipliner for the application of semi-gloss Chanel and Chantecaille lippy which bleed on my aging, haggard lips.

Art Deco any good?

Havingkittens · 20/04/2011 22:19

I use MAC's Prep & Prime lips which isn't a nude liner but is a waxy base which helps stop my lipsticks bleeding. I wear reds, bright pinks and corals mostly and without the Prep & Prime I look like Ronald McDonald. The other thing which really helps is MAC's paint pots (eyeshadow) in "Painterly" just in a sheet layer around the edges of the lips and let to set before applying your lip liner.

Benefit do a pencil one which isn't bad - I got it free with a magazine a while back, so no idea how much it would cost but it does brighten up the inner eye.

ooh thanks - I'll have to pop back into SPace NK for the Jemma Kidd - or maybe I'll surf and see if I can get it online.

www.beautyexpert.co.uk/Jemma-Kidd-Lip-Perfector-Anti-feather-Cover-and-Plump-(Neutral)-PRODJKLP6/ saw this nude lipliner when I was looking for the nude eyeliner!

If any use but a bit ££

Oh yes, I have that too. I got lucky as they sent me some freebies to try out in my kit Grin. I've not used it much yet though as I had a couple of the MAC Prep & Prime to get through and I think I prefer it for myself as it keeps the red lipstick truer than having a nude base.

TracyK · 21/04/2011 11:08

I have quite pale lips - so I don't know that I would want a nude base tbh.
www.beautyexpert.co.uk/Jemma-Kidd-Pro-I-Perfector-Prep-and-Brightener-Duo-PRODJKSS3/ is this the eyeliner one you mean?

Yes, that's it.

moragbellingham · 21/04/2011 22:15

Thanking you ladies - I'm now going to hunt it down in RL!
Shame that Boots don't stock her (JK) range anymore as I thought it was quite good.

TracyK · 22/04/2011 19:59

I ended up getting an Une nude eyebrightener, L'Oreal navy eyeliner and a Bourjois shimmery creamy colour eyeshadow today in Boots. They were doing 3 for 2 on all makeup - so worked out a lot cheaper than JK. Am liking my purchases so far.

See you already got one, but Stila does a good one, the colour is "topaz" but essentially it is nude. It's very soft and blendable and is definitely a liner. It really does make you look less tired and hides the redness.

Havingkittens · 23/04/2011 00:31

You can't buy Stila in the UK anymore. There are a few bits and bobs available on various websites but you can't find the full range unfortunately.
