What is the best for pale skin. Think corned beef legs. But I am terrified of turning myself into an oompa loompa.

the best one i have EVER used is the ambre solaire dry mist spray. i use the medium skin one as i like to have quite a noticeable tan. it dries instantly and develops within minutes and there are no streaks. but they do one for plae skin which i once bought by mistake and it just gives a subtle pale gold glow which sounds like it would be better for you. its lovely. its on offer at boots atm with a 3rd off. and its not at all orange.

Whichever one you use, best done sober, as I realised to my cost when I woke up this morning with orange sheets and streak factor 10.

I will be exfoliating every day to speed the process but wearing jeans this Easter weekend Blush

No really not Grin

I look as though I have some terrible skin defect!!!

Why not try one of the everyday gradual tanners so you can build up the colour? Johnsons is good, but I've been using St Tropez gradual tanner and it is a nice colour and never streaks.

starfishmummy · 20/04/2011 20:57

Been there febreeze!
I'm going for the johnsons one that builds up very gradually this time!

FebreezeYourJeans · 20/04/2011 21:07

Never mind never mixing grape and grain; never ever mix vodka and fake tan! Aren't these supposed to have been the lessons of my youth, I'm too old to be such a blithering idiot [sob]

I use Fake Bake Flawless and it's fab!
It smells of coconut, not that weird fake tan smell, and it's a doddle to apply.

csemum · 05/05/2011 18:47

stormcloud...what skintype do you have?

csemum · 05/05/2011 18:48

skin type...can't type sorry!

VivaLeBeaver · 05/05/2011 18:49

I've just used Vita Liberata for the first time after seeing someone talk about it on here. Its fab, first time I've used something without it been really streaky. I used a tan mitt as well and think that made a difference.

RhiRhi123 · 05/05/2011 19:28

hiya i agree with ladyegg i've been using the St tropez gradual everyday tanner. It's really good. doesn't go streaky as it builds up gradually to a nice natural colour. I've found the johnsons one can go a bit orange.
