I want to wake up with glorious skin, so I'm after serum/ oil recommendations.

I quite fancy the Estee Lauder one in a brown bottle.

I'm mid-30s with t-zone/ combo skin.

Clarins' oils don't agree with me.

Thanks!

Estee Lauder one is fabulous. Advanced night repair. Do it!

carat · 20/04/2011 15:41

That's what it's called - Advanced Night Repair.

Mama - is it really worth it?

I love the \link{http://uk.lizearle.com/superskin/superskin-concentrate.html\Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate} - fab stuff, and v non oily. You can get a 2 ml tester to try it out.

Oh can someone tell me about the estee one in the brown bottle? Been eyeing it for years but what does it do?

mamalovesmojitos · 20/04/2011 16:11

Yes. I saw it on special offer in duty free last year. Had a bit of extra cash so bought it. It just feels beautiful. Sinks into your skin. I have sensitive skin but it just drinks this up. Smooths it out so my dry bits are moisturised and pores not so big. My skins looks brighter, I cant describe it better than to say it just looks more radiant. My forehead lines look less pronounced.

I do not work for estee lauder! Or any cosmetics company. I just love the stuff. Maybe look online for reviews on the product and you can decide whether you want to splurge on it or not.

Thanks Smile!

Aromatherapy Associates do some beautiful facial oils. Really lovely and work well. The Rose & Sandalwood would be good for you.

Bought the Advanced Repair - the brown bottle one and I shall report back in the morning. You apply it under your evening moisturiser, which at the moment is the evening pink tube from The Sanctuary (given to me at Christmas and is surprisingly good, no break outs at all).

to be continued...

Hope you like it carat Smile

I've written a feature on facial oils - I would never use anything by Estee Lauder, or most of the high street brands, frankly: full of mineral oils, silicones and parabens!
If you want a facial oil that will actually nourish your skin, check out these, I'm preparing another feature which will be in a couple of weeks or so

Have to agree with MissFoodie on the amount of junk in highstreet and 'premium' brands..........

Not much help since op has bought the estee lauder....although perhaps something to consider in future ??

I have the boots sanctuary facial oil it's lovely

carat · 27/04/2011 17:14

Well... it's been a few days and I HATE IT!

Firstly, it's watery, smells a bit funny and it makes my face feel chalky without the white marks. In the morning, my skin is dry and thirsty. I've used it.

Have used it for a week under my evening cream and no improvement. Total waste of money.

For those of you who rate it, what does it do for you?

mamalovesmojitos · 27/04/2011 21:56

Sorry to hear that carat. Such a pity! A friend of mine bought it at the same time and she loved it too.

I've already explained what I like about it, but I did a quick search on here and there are plenty of posts about it. Not everyone raves about it but many do. Hth.

MissFoodie · 27/04/2011 22:12

what are you going to do now then? carry on using it or ebay it?
if you decide to switch, check out the oils I tested!

willybreeder · 28/04/2011 08:36

Vitamin E oil from the Body Shop is a product I enjoy, no major smell and disappears quickly into the skin.

EttiKetti · 28/04/2011 09:11

Decleor Aromessence- I use the Rose one as I have sensitive skin, but they do a few, last forever and my skin has NEVER been as good
