Do you keep your shoes/sandals clean on the inside?

my new fit flops are already a little dirty on the footbed after a couple of weeks and it got me wondering if other people clean their shoes on the inside. During the summer I notice that some peoples shoes will be almost perfectly clean on the inside whereas other people will kick of theirs and it's covered in black stuck on dirt.

What's the MN consensus?

I occasionally wipe sandals over with a wet-wipe - given that I'm invariably barefoot it's inevitable that my feet often aren't that clean and can leave marks. New flip flops are black - result Grin

Hey my new flip flops are also black... but in summertime I can't only wear flip-flops... I also have some sneakers but I replaced the insoles. I've put in cedarsoles because they reduce moisture and foot odor. So I don't have to wash my shoes very often.

I use baby wipes on my sandals - not after every wear, but fairly often. Decided to try it after they were recommended on MN for leather sofas & I thought why not leather insoles too. Works very well.
