No, but I have the short ruched dress in grey from the white company which is SS2011 too. I bought a Small, and I am a size 10. I will need to wear a vest under it as the v is too low for me, but I don't mind that. The fabric is a good jersey weight. But the dress was way below my knee, and I had 4 inches taken off the length to make it just above my knee (I am 5 foot 1). I think they size for women who are about 5 foot 7 or 8.

I have it and love it. I bought a medium and it fits me perfectly. I cannot say what size I am though as I had a baby 5 months ago and my body seems to change shape every day Hmm. Anyway, it is very flattering as it (a) skims over post-baby tum, (b) the belt emphasises a waist (c) it covers my breast-feeding boobs without making it look heavy and mumsy (Boden cross-overs do this to me - yuk). The fabric has a nice weight to it. I do wear a light camisole underneath but that's just because my boobs are absolutely humongous at the moment and I like to have them securely contained Blush

I bought it and and sending it back as it is very long - I am 5 ft 7 and the bottom is on the floor. Would be fine if you are about 5ft 10 or happy to get it turned up.

Carrotsandcelery · 19/04/2011 10:33

Oh dear - I am 5 ft 5 - I have no hope then! Boo!

Thanks for letting me know voiture - I would have been really disappointed if I waited for it to come and then was tripping over it.

Carrots This fabric and hem finish is really easy for any alterations person to hem. It cost me £7 and my local alterations shop did a really good job. I am glad I had it taken up, and it makes no difference to the style of the dress. Neither does it need ironing! You'll probably save the £7 with a voucher code anyway - give it a go Smile

Carrotsandcelery · 19/04/2011 10:59

Smile It is currently discounted as well I think. I may be persuaded - great excuse to go into town to the alterations shop and to have a nosey round the shops while I wait Grin

Ah, yes it is very long. I paid to have it altered. Only £13 but worth it as the length is now perfect for me and I have worn this dress to death Smile

anyone gone for the short version of the same dress and if yes what are your thoughts?
