What will happen if I try and dye my bleached ginger/orange hair myself?

Last year I went through a stupid phase of wanting black hair. Thankfully the hairdresser refused to dye it black and instead dyed it the darkest brown you could get without going black. I liked it for a while but then I had uni interviews etc coming up so decided to get it redyed a more natural golden brown. But because it was so dark, the old colour had to be BLEACHED out.

When they first did it it was a lovely golden brown with blonde highlights - he PROMISED me it wouldn't go ginger.

My hair is now ginger and what makes it worse is that all the greys he covered up have come back through already. This was only done 4 weeks ago.

I'm considering dying it myself with the perfect 10 stuff I used to use prior to this episode but is it too soon? will my hair fall out? will the colour go even more wierd??

I would go back to the salon and complain. Ask them to fix it for free. DO NOT attempt to fix it yourself ( voice of experience emoticon).
