Have spent part of today assembling clear plastic shoe boxes (well DS did - thank you amazon) and then putting shoes in and stacking in wardrobe.

Honestly - I am so sad I just have to keep looking in my wardrobe at my piles of lovely shoes.

And I have 21 pairs of shoes and 3 pairs of boots - is that a lot?

MrsCB I have around the same number of pairs...I don't think it's a lot, I think it's normal. (Boots and heels for winter, pumps and wedges for summer, flip flops and trainers...not to mention party shoes). I think 24 total is a nice, restrained number.
DH on the other hand disagrees...

DuplicitousBitch · 15/04/2011 18:01

did you take polariod of said shoes to stick on front?

Fleecy · 15/04/2011 18:03

I don't think it's a lot mrsCB - I have around 100 pairs and I'm not even going to be embarrassed by that Smile

I think it's actually very reasonable. I keep mine in those hanging canvas things you're supposed to put knitwear in. And boots on the floor.

OTOH I think you may have slightly more leopard print than me Wink so it all evens out.

Oh God 21 pairs in total-don't feel bad, I probably have that amount of pumps plus flipflops, a dozen or so pairs of trainers, couple of pairs of walking boots/shoes. Many many pairs of boots (still searching for the perfect pair Smile and about 50 pairs of high heel/going out shoes (I go out about 3 times a year!)

Throw in a few pairs of birkies, some converse and work shoes and they are taking over the house....

In my defence my clothes often don't fit me (regularly fluctuate 14-16-18) so shoes are my comfort buy, they always fit and they make me feel better about having a fat arse Grin

I keep most of the boxes and they are piled up in my wardrobe, DH wardrobe, hall cupboard and at the side of my bed. There are a few deeply unfashionable pairs up in the loft as well that I just can't bear to part with!

I think I may have a problem.......

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/04/2011 21:01

Oh I'm feeling positively restrained Smile

Don't need polaroids as the boxes are clear!

Don't feel bad about that lot. I have over 200 pairs of shoes and boots. I do a "stock take" once a year. It's very exciting. Half of them I have completely forgotten I own and it's like getting a whole load of new shoes. I my defence. I work in Thailand a lot at there's no way any of the clothes will fit, and the shoes are about £10 a pair... Well that's my excuse.

Latest favourites are hand embroidered cowboy boots for under jeans, beaded and embroidered kitten heels in different colours for when the weather warms up. They look great peeping out from under jeans or linen trousers. and some bright coloured wedges...

wendihouse22 · 17/04/2011 17:56

I can't get excited about shoes.

I'm a bag person, myself.

But yes, I'm astonished by your collection though strangely, it's only a small collection in comparison with others, it seems!
