navy

red

Can also possibly get in fuchsia

Which colour and then what do I add to it?

It's for a wedding, want to go looking fab, understated chic.

Am 29, 5"2 and size 12

I'd go for navy and either tan, gold or leopard accessories.

I have that dress in black, and it's lovely.

collision · 15/04/2011 16:54

I would go for navy with nude high shoes and no accessories.

Maybe a feathery thing in my hair but no jewellry.

cybboid · 15/04/2011 16:55

see, I woudl go for red and have green heels and an orange clutch

But then I always aim to stand out in a crowd Wink

geordieminx · 15/04/2011 17:03

There is a black one on flea bay just now, but wasn't sure whether it would be too plain?

What would I wear with black? Would it be ok for wedding?

Have dark hair, and will have uber tan as 2 holidays in the 4 weeks before weddingGrin

Wedding at city centre boutique hotel?

I like clashy-clashy cyb; I just don't think it would work with that dress for some reason. Not sure why. It's more 'classic' IYSWIM...

geordieminx · 15/04/2011 17:06

Classic cool as fuck was the look I was hoping for... Not too try hard but still sexy?

My initial thoughts were tan strappy sandals and clutch, but that's probably because it's styled like that on NAP

I would go for navy, with beige or cream shoes and bag, and a very long single strand of pearls.

geordieminx · 15/04/2011 17:26

Navy it is then

Does anyone know what the sizing is like?

OP posts:
ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 15/04/2011 20:31

Sizing is pretty true - I'm a 12 and have a 12 in skirts or a medium in jersey dresses. The cotton dresses come up bigger and I'd need a 10 in those, as they are quite broad across the back.

trixymalixy · 15/04/2011 22:56

Ooh, love it in the navy, definitely with nude or tan heels.

Might have to clothes stalk you Geordie, and buy it for my cousin's wedding!!

MissBeehivingChoclitWabbits · 16/04/2011 07:47

I love the idea of clashing accessories. Edgy and cool.

noddyholder · 16/04/2011 07:50

Lovely but need to accessorise well or could be frumpy. Anglomania is gorgeous fit though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/04/2011 07:50

The navy is lovely.

I have the red donna but decided the red was just too much so dyed it black - yes I am mad! The shape of the Donna is very flattering though.

geordieminx · 16/04/2011 08:29

That's what I was worried about noddy. I want it to look wedding fab, not work dress that I found in the cupboard.

Trix.... I will probably sell on ebay after I have worn Wink

Have also seen cerise with short sleeves which would suit my coloring?

OP posts:
noddyholder · 16/04/2011 09:13

I also prefer the red for a wedding I think the navy could look a bit marks and spencers

WhatsWrongWithYou · 16/04/2011 09:33

I think if you're someone who can get an 'uber tan,' the red would probably suit you better. Navy might not flatter you as well and if you can carry off a lovely bright colour, why not?

You might find a super-high pair of shiny camel shoes and possibly a bracelet is all it needs.

geordieminx · 16/04/2011 10:01

Gah I want them all!!!!!! Grin

OP posts:
pink4ever · 16/04/2011 12:11

Think they are both lovely(prefer the red) but if you are only 29 then could get away with something far more edgy/high fashion.

geordieminx · 16/04/2011 12:28

Any ideas pink?

I tend to dress older as Dh is 15 years older than me, so hate going out looking "young" Blush

OP posts:
WhatsWrongWithYou · 16/04/2011 14:52

Have you looked at Karen Millen lately? Bit more high street than VW but maybe more frivolous for a youngster like yourself! But the VW is gorgeous anyway.
