Can you help me dress a tomboy for a christening?

DD is 5 and DOES NOT DO DRESSES Sad Apparently she will wear this

These are the only shoes I can find narrow enough to fit.

She will not wear leggings and tunic. But she would happily wear trousers and a tie, which is why she likes the top in the link...it's like a shirt she tells me.

I quite like these; www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Girls-Trousers-Jeans/Trousers/32357-DBL/Girls-Marina-Spot-Capris.html?NavGroupID=19 but not sure what top to make them smart enough.

Any suggestions appreciated...I've been looking on-line for about a month now!

cute orange trousers wear with matching dotty shirt?

LesAnimaux · 15/04/2011 12:47

Oh er! The are great! I think we might have to go on a real live shopping trip!

What about the navy top that's shown with the dotty trousers? (to the right) Not too tunic-y or girly but quite cute at the same time?

LesAnimaux · 15/04/2011 18:05

Your right that top is nice.

I think I might be able to pursuade her to wear it as a one off.

She said an absolute NO to the orange trousers. They do them in other colours though, so I will work on her.

She has now decided she would like those shoes in red. Hmm

What about relaxing into it and letting her wear boys clothes? this with bright shoes and a flower on the lapel would look cute?

LynetteScavo · 16/04/2011 12:47

No, no, no, no!

I have two older boys. I never dared hope for a girl. I'm not asking her to wear frilly pink dresses every day, but when all the other little girls are skipping around in dresses with alice bands in their hair on special occasions I feel Envy. Stupid, I know, but I can't help it.
