LEGOLAND style horrors today

no not people with strangely non moving helmet hair - almost worse.

when going to a theme park you DONT need to dress as if scaling everest - horrible craghopper trousers, trainers with toggles a waterproof and a fixed grim expression. its hardly longer than an afternoons shopping

SImilarly today was COLD - not the day for shorts - but yet men were there with VAST guts( or conversely strangely emaciated ) with slimy sports 3/4 length trousers and trainers with toggles.

Several women turned up ( at 6 degrees this am) in white LINEN TROUSER ( klaxon ) and just looked freezing.

BUt the piece de resistance was a woman in long black leggings that seemd to even cover her feet.
WHY could we see her feet? oh she had gladiators and socks( or maybe legging bottoms) on
WOW

hah hah hah leggings socks ('sox' I'll bet) AND gladiators

what IS it with trainers with toggles? prolly they can't bend ovah to do laces

BeaMoaning · 12/04/2011 17:02

I know an entire family who actually look like lego figures we call them Mr and Mrs lego and little Leego.

Their hair looks moulded on and they move very stiffly.

Katisha · 12/04/2011 17:02

People will be dressed as if for the beach from now until October. Shorts, no shirt, the lot. Regardless of temperature and actual weather.

HTFU · 12/04/2011 17:03

just say no to white linen trousers.

MikeRotch · 12/04/2011 17:04

but then you get ernest mum
with her tupperware tub of chopped up veg, toggletrainers? and a firmly set make -up- free face.

all they need is one of those plastic map holders fgs

( and kendal mint cake)

Are other colours of linen trousers OK though?

BarbaraBar · 12/04/2011 17:04

Trainers with toggles are def for people who can't tie shoelaces. If they did adult size velcro shoes they would have those instead (god, maybe they do...).

MikeRotch · 12/04/2011 17:05

( see previous threads on linen trousers)

trying to think what i was wearing at legoland last week.
oh yes, jeans, baggy t'shirt that flashed my boobs when i bent over the lego (v popular) and trainers.
shoot me.

Katisha · 12/04/2011 17:05

They DO have adult size shoes with velcro - DS1 was pointing and laughing at some in Clarks yesterday. They were not even trainers.

BarbaraBar · 12/04/2011 17:06

Adult velcro shoes? Nooooo.

cryhavoc · 12/04/2011 17:07

People have to dress in outdoorsy stuff for theme parks, because it is outside and an ACTIVITY. Ridiculous.

Toggle trainers make me laugh. Useless for actual exercise.

I also know someone who looks like a Lego man. Am always tempted to try and click his hair from his head. When his wife was pregnant DH and I (admittedly, quite cruelly) pondered how much it would hurt trying to give birth to a Lego baby, complete with corners...

I hope you ticked them all off and referred them here for crash course therapy (no crocs, no linen drawstrings, no maxi dresses, haven't you heard of flexitol?!?!?!)

MikeRotch · 12/04/2011 17:09

OK have mugged up on linen trousers.
Too bad - having got out my one pair earlier in the week I will be looking around for more,

MikeRotch · 12/04/2011 18:13

Katisha!

OP posts:
Buda · 12/04/2011 18:19

I'm sticking with the linen trousers as well. Have a nice black pair with white pinstripes and a brown pair and a grey pair. May even buy more. So NAH!

Katisha · 12/04/2011 18:34

Well the thing is Mike, I bought them last year because I had lost weight, not because I had given up and let go as per rationale behind recent threads. So I think I have the right motive for wearing them.

polyhymnia · 12/04/2011 18:48

i have never seen trainers with toggles. Obviously have led a sheltered life! Where do they come from?? [No, I don't want any ...]
