Need dress for a black-tie wedding in Ireland!!!

We've got a wedding in Ireland at the end of May. The dress-code is black-tie - I assume this means down-to-the-floor dreses for the ladies??!!

I am a size 10 and 5'8''. Slightly pear shaped with a narrow back and smallish waist (not so small after giving birth 5 months ago!).

I'm willing to spend up to around £150 if needs be.

Any recommendations??!! I have no idea how you don't look like you are going to a ball!!!???? Surely it must be a different "type" of black-tie dress for a daytime wedding...??

???!

i wouldn't assume floor length, although there are many many gorgeous maxi dresses around so it wouldn't be a problem.

Cocktail length should be fine.

No... defo not down to the floor. Blacktie is usually just a way to get the guys looking smart in bow ties... and the ladies just wear what they would normally wear to a wedding. Have fun

Ahhhhhh that makes things so much easier!!! Thanks!

Yes, it just means very dressy - as said, to make sure the men are smart!

Around our ways, amongst the local boutiques, you normally see a lot of Coast. Love weddings, enjoy!
