Is this dress hideous?

Don't like the fake jewel bits. Otherwise I quite like it. But I am a bit mad on colour.

I think if you are slim and are dark skinned or have a tan it will look stylish and summery and lovely. If, like me, you are stumpy and curvy and pale it will make you look lumpy and the pattern will be too much.

It's not hideous, but you will look like you're on your way to a 70's fancy dress party.

Only if you wear it with gold wedges. I think if you find some shoes with 70 reference but not OTT then it will look great.

I've got fabulous gold Office wedges that I love. Ellie I am quite small, blonde and often sport a hint of tan that comes from living in the tropics
