Hands up if you're a mum with a flat tum

Hands down here.

I'm 9 months post partum with DC1 and really struggling to come to terms with my flabby tummy. My flat tummy was one of the best things about me and now it's gone! Will it be back with time, with hard work or never? I'm prepared to put a bit of hard work into it but not crazy celeb-style starvation.

Banjies.

As you exercise so the abs gain strength and mass. Because they are not joined together however this mass expands outwards, hence making you look worse (even though you are actually healthier/stronger). it is only if they get restitched that they pull together and give you washboard stomach. My personal trainer spent a long time looking into this for me and I also got it confirmed by a surgeon.

There is nothing that you can do instead (other than get a tuck to have it all stitched back up).

My stomach is flat and went back into shape quite quickly after both boys, although I was 22 and nearly 27 when they were born so youth may have had something to do with it!

With DS1 I was back in my pre pregnancy clothes when he was 2 days old Blush and after DS2 I ended up smaller than I was pre children.

I too have an inverted uterus.......
