Ok so I need a dress for my daughters christening.

I am a size 10 on top, 12 on the bottom, we'll call that a Medium or 12 for dresses.

I really want to look nice, but I can't find anything suitable,

budget is £150 happy to spend less though, something fitted looks best on me and I don't like short as my thighs are chunky Blush

Please help, wise S&B guru's

I am 31, fairly pale and have long blonde hair Smile

Have you looked in coast? Could be a bit bridesmaid but they do do some nice pieces. Or Karen Millen also do nice smart day dresses as do whistles.

Whistles I usually love but nothing there atm

Coast & Karen Millen I find a bit shiney Confused

Thanks though Smile

Assuming something you can wear in church? What colours do you usually like?

This?

This?

low key but pretty

Lovely colours and plenty left over for shoes!

Thanks not yummy, maybe I'm wrong about Karen Millen, the first one is really nice, easy to accessorise.

2nd one not me

Last 2 are nice, but I suit a more fitted skirt.

I thought the first one was nice too. I do know what you mean about KM some of the dresses can be a bit scary, but you do get the few odd that are nice and the fit is good for a more womanly figure (me!)

Have you tried looking at Phase 8 and LK Bennett? If you are looking for a more tailored fit then they probably have something.
