Need 3 spring/summer outfits to get me through the losing weight stage

I am currently a large size 16 and have just started dieting so hopefully will be much slimmer by the end of the summer. The problem is I have put this weight on recently so all my summer clothes are 12-14 in size. I don't have huge amounts of money to blow but would like to look nice through the summer so am begging you stylish ladies to come up with 3 outfits for me to get me through this stage :) I am 5ft 3 and pear shaped although at this size my boobs are pretty big (DD cup) so almost hourglass at the mo. I look best in skirts and fitted tops or dresses as my legs and bum are very chubby but my waist and top half is small for my size. I am 32 and still vaguely trendy but not in a mutton way :)

Any help appreciated! Thank you!

outfit 1
Next linen mix trousers - come in white and navy (and probably other colours) - only £20. Get some cheap vest tops - plain and striped ones. And a nice cobalt blue cardigan. Wear with Birkenstocks, flipflops etc... Add some nice accessories such as a chunky necklace or a scarf or a nice pair of sunglasses...

outfit 2
Next dress match with the blue cardigan and the flipflops for daytime or a pair of heels for a night out.

If you want a cheaper / plainer dress - New look have some in for £9.99.

Outfit 3
Linen skirt that can be worn with vest tops, cardi, accessories and sandals.

While you are losing weight, I would spend money on accessories so that you can create different looks with just a few basic clothing items

Agree with Meggles, those Next linen mix trousers are great value at £20 and a handy summer staple. I'd get navy or stone colour for summer

I'd also buy a knee length denim skirt, peacocks, primark or H&M will sort you out with one of those for under £15.

Zara have great breton stripy tops for £10 which would look great with the Next trousers or denim skirt here

Definitely a dress too, I love this little peacocks dress. Bargain at £18

Thanks ladies, ended up buying these:-

Jean Shorts

Pretty Top

Linen Trousers Although looking at these now on a better screen think they might make my thighs look massive! May have to change them.

Stripy Vest

This in navy and white

Pretty dress

Sensible navy cardy

Also am bidding on a really nice red monsoon skirt and a gap denim jacket on ebay

I already have loads of nice sandals so I am done I think. Bet I hate it all when it arrives Grin

Definitely think the Next linen trousers will work better so will have to return the DP ones.

Love the Zara stripy top and Peacocks dress.

I am looking through the sites now, thank you :)

Like the vests and the dress is great! Well done you.

That cardi you've bought is maybe going to be a bit warm for Spring Summer, its acrylic type stuff. Ive bought my MIL some of the cashmillon stuff and it's probably better in winter. Maybe a cotton or linen blend one would be better?

And def agree the Next trousers will be much more flattering. : )

Oh really? Ok well I can always return it if too thick. There is a lovely navy cardie in monsoon at the mo but it is £38.... Tempted, very tempted!
