Those non-hurty high heels at M&S - anyone tried them?

I'm talking about the ones in the advert when the woman dances happily, implying that the heels she's wearing are as comfy as air. I tried on a pair at the weekend and they still felt a bit weird on my feet, but then I prefer trainers anyway.

Anyone tried them? Would love to know what anyone who actually wears heels thinks of them. The brand is called Insolia .

My 62 year old mother just came home with these saying she can wear heels again, so so happy........

snakeskin heels

I'm not sure how happy I am she is wearing these........

MadreInglese · 06/04/2011 12:32

No but my friend has some of the clarks no-hurty ones and raves about them

brimfull · 06/04/2011 13:47

I tried them on in the shop and was in agony. So didn't work for me.

BlooCowWonders · 06/04/2011 13:52

ditto brimfull -seemed a weird way of pushing the foot backwards.

mumblechum1 · 06/04/2011 13:53

I like the red sling back ones.

inchhighprivateeye · 06/04/2011 14:18

madamecholet those are the ones I tried on - there were none of the black ones left. They're a bit "I intend to get drunk at this wedding" aren't they?

I have a pair from 2 years ago. My feet hurt like hell in them Angry and I am used to wearing heels. I brave them every so often as I love the style but they aren't especially comfy.

CMOTdibbler · 06/04/2011 14:56

The only Insolia ones I have hurt my feet too. My DM high heels otoh, are blissfully comfortable

inchhighprivateeye · 06/04/2011 15:37

What, you have Daily Mail high heels? I didn't know they did a range of shoes. Do they make you lean to the right?

inchhighprivateeye that is my favourite description of a shoe ever. EVER.

strictlysauvignon · 06/04/2011 21:27

Madam I'd just be happy that at 62 - she was happy! heels or not - isn't this the grumpy age? - and inchighprivateye - who doesn't intend to get drunk at weddings??
I'd be happy just to be able to wear heels that high - sigh Sad

TaudrieTattoo · 06/04/2011 21:29

Oh my god.

I had some Repetto mary janes which were the only high heels I could ever wear. Four years I had them.

I had a monster hangover on Saturday and didn't put them away.

The dog ate them.

Can't replace em - but there's a pair on that website that are nearly exactly the same!

AND THEY ARE SOLD OUT!

The cruelty...

Oblomov · 06/04/2011 21:46

haven't tried on the M&S ones. but i don't wear heels that hurt. i don't wear shoes that hurt. i wear medium heels to work 3 dyas and they never ever hurt.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 06/04/2011 21:50

Pmsl at 'Do they make you lean to the right?'!!! :)

inchhighprivateeye · 07/04/2011 12:25

OK so I'm not getting good vibes about these shoes, but then again not many people have tried them. So if you could all pop into M & S at the weekend to try them on and report back, that would be v helpful. I'm not spending over £50 on shoes without knowing what I'm letting myself in for.

I have a couple of pairs and they are fine, slightly cushioned so not so hurty on the ball of your foot after a whole day/evening in them.
I am a die hard heel wearer though and even in summer to work i wear heels. the higher the better.
I have the black strappy ones from the advert, a mary jane pair and a t bar pair.

wildfig · 07/04/2011 12:30

Can't you order them online and send them back if they don't feel right? Is delivery still free on orders over £30? My local M&S is on the 'Patronising Stock for Rural Frumps' list and so we only ever get drawstring linen crops and Classic Collection - I just order a small concession's-worth of stuff every so often and return it all what doesn't work.

wendihouse22 · 07/04/2011 15:49

Love the red sling back, low heeled ones....even I might venture out of flats for these....

higgle · 07/04/2011 19:16

I had a pair of high heeled lace ups 2 years ago that are wonderfully comfortable and am waiting for a piar of sandals to be delivered ( tried them on in the shop, but they only had 1/2 size too big) they were blissful.

suebfg · 10/04/2011 22:48

Yes they're the best work shoes I've had

Katisha · 10/04/2011 22:51

"Insolia"???

How many marketing brainstorms did that one need...
