I am 5' 7", a size 14, boobs/hips/bit of a tummy...I usually go for 50's style dresses full but there aren't many of them in the shops at the mo and these two dresses caught my eye.

I like a bit of colour and that minky colour popular at the mo doesn't suit me.

I also really like this but not sure it is a bit OTT:

I think all of them are really nice and any would work for a wedding!

FWIW my favourite is the last one Smile

I love the last one, am less keen on the boden ones.

SaggyHairyArse · 05/04/2011 23:16

:)

I keep getting drawn to this but it is about £100 over budget:

I might go and try it on tomorrow to gauge sizes with view to ordering the other one as it is a lush dress.

Not so keen on the second one, like the first one a lot. Third one seems to be a good shape though.

Have you looked at Jigsaw - they normally have good dresses the shape you describe - think we must be similar shapes. Got one from there the other day but probably not dressy enough for a wedding.

Too too OTT?

Like the JL link, not so keen on your last one, but I'm a bit colour averse! Comes with having red hair!

OwlMother · 05/04/2011 23:23

If you're on Jigsaw, make sure you hover the curser over the pics, all the dresses look awful not on a model!

SaggyHairyArse · 05/04/2011 23:23

I think that last dress would look amazing on a red head!

Too scared of getting it wrong - my Jigsaw dress is plain navy, accessorised with very high navy heels! Always feel too busy with colour and curly red hair! Also can't really do accessories - ah, my hangups!

Joules Alida

Quite like this one?!

SaggyHairyArse · 06/04/2011 07:38

That is a nice dress but a bit expensive for me unfortunately.

Just had a total result in TK Maxx! I found a Maggy London green/blue print dress that was really flattering for £35.00.

I decided to buy another dress as well for £20 however when I got home and checked my receipt I was charged £32 for both dresses.

It is the dress in the centre of the page on the second colum in from the right although the print is a bit :
