As in mens? Are they really that bad?

They are not good I'm afraid, I had a pair when they were trendy about 5 years ago. Would not wear them now..

But to answer your question maybe wear them with skinny black jeans?

I like them, but then I couldn't really give a toss what's 'in'.
They'd look good with a denim mini, or above knee skirt. Or, yes skinny jeans.
Maybe try with a leggings/tunic combo.

I didn't mean I wouldn't wear them now because they are not 'in'. I meant because I don't like them now, my taste has changed since 5 years ago..

5 years ago I was and still am upto my armpits in nappies & dribble, I know nothing about in or out, I count myself lucky if I remember to get myself dressed every day.

I bought cowboy boots in the Dune sale about 5 years ago. They are still unworn in the wardrobe. Flipflops? Havaianas - about 20 quid - no contest

get yourself some Havianas, they are so comfortable and last ages. I have 3 pairs and I love them.

I have white ones and slim pewter ones. They come out like new after a wool cycle . I'm going to buy a pair in black for my summer holiday - for the evening.
