GAP Jeans

I have just got some new jeans from GAP and as the washing instructions are washing them inside out on a cold temp before wearing. The written instructions say do not tumble dry, the picture instructions show tumble drying is okay. ConfusedConfused.

I never tumble dry jeans - don't they shrink? Always inside out (so you don't wear the colour off) too on a 30 degree wash although I'm sure cold is better.

I always tumble dry my jeans. They don't shrink but have a nice snugness about them when I next wear them. I haven't bought GAP jeans for years and they were ££ so I don't want to ruin them before I have even worn them.

i always tumble dry jeans but they are from next. i had gap ones a few years ago and ruined them in the drier. don't risk it.

I have hung them up, won't risk it, thanks.

Hot washing and tumble drying destroys the lycra/ stretch so eventually they become baggy. Best to always wash cold and air dry.

Unless they are thick cotton denim with minimal lycra, in which case it doesn't matter so much (some Levi's are like this).

You have done the right thing with your Gap jeans.

Thanks. Hopefully I will get to wear them soon and they won't take too long to dry.
