best place for casual dresses over leggings/opaque tights?

I bought three dresses from Boden last year which I alternate every three days! I absolutely love these dresses but they've been washed so many times its really time to buy some more! I ordered some again from Boden but had nowhere near as good as an experience as the last time - everything just seemed to have too much material.

So I wondered if anyone could recommend any places that stock well-made, colourful dresses that can be worn well over tights/leggings (Spring still doesn't seem to have made an appearance where I live!) I'm twenty-something (okay, approaching 30) and am 5ft5 and size 8.

PS it might be a tall order but I'm really into ethical fashion so anything that's organic/fairtrade etc would be an added bonus!
