Well, you may remember I was waiting for this to arrive. And it has. And it is perfect!
I am 32H, 5'8"", hourglass size 14/16.
The 14L fits like a glove, the 16 was way too big,so size down.
It is super flattering, super comfy, super pretty and I can't wait for some good weather! Will be perfect for everyday stuff.Have it two colour ways.
I should point out that like many of us,I have sent just about everything back to Boden this year, but this is a keeper.
Smug face.

I think it was me who said I wouldn't necessarily wear on school run. But that's only because where I live in the sticks, fleeces and jeans are considered dressy. I think a Boden dress with my knees out may be too much for some Grin

They have sent them, hooray. Hope they're here in time for the weekend!

Why oh why did i read this thread. My credit card has taken a battering and i can't satisfy my addiction as it's on a 8 week delivery!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 06/04/2011 13:51

Someone linked to this yesterday. Looks good for those with boobs as it doesn't have that pesky under-bust seam which always cuts them in half.

olympialimpet · 07/04/2011 21:52

everlong - in case you come back to the thread I am a curvy size 16, 5ft 5 and large boobs.

It really is flattering Smile

appleslice · 07/04/2011 22:25

Can some one do the link for the dress for me please

GeorginaWorsley · 07/04/2011 22:28

OOh,saw this dress today and may try.

appleslice · 07/04/2011 22:40

Oh have just ordered it but a 7 week wait it says...

Thanks woopsidaisy for posting the link to show us all, as I never have time to look so always come on mumsnet if I ever fancy buying anything to see there is anything I like.

CointreauVersial · 07/04/2011 22:55

Lovely, but toooooo expensive, even with 15% off.

thatsnotmyfruitshoot · 08/04/2011 13:25

Gutted. Mine arrived today, but need to go back. Anyone waiting for a size 10 might get one of my returns..

Loved the fit over the bust, really flattering on bigger boobs, but elsewhere it wasn't great on me. I'd already sized down from a 12 and could get the 10 on without even undoing the zip. It was fine on the hips but baggy at the stomach, a bit tight at the arms. Tbh I just don't know when I'd have worn it. On me it did look a bit mumsy, but it might just be that I don't normally wear that kind of thing.

Thin cotton too, had that tangy smell you get with things that come free with magazines. Grin Heinously expensive for what it is, Johnnie B must be raking it in.

Print gorgeous though, especially in radish colourway and I thought about having it shortened to a tunic top, then I'd wear over a short denim skirt or with slim fit jeans. Decided it was too expensive to do that though, even at 15% off.

On the upside I ordered the peony satchel which I'm surprisingly pleased with.

doglover · 08/04/2011 14:25

My dress also arrived today and I LOVE it! Super flattering - delighted!

polyhymnia · 10/04/2011 12:25

Many thanks for the recommendation, woopsi.

Thought I'd exhausted all the Boden dress possibilities this season, but, after reading this, I ordered two which came yesterday.

Style certainly flattering and comfortable on this tall, very busty Size 22. The blue and brown print (blue wash) is really pretty and summery. I like the soft lavender colour of the clover too - had feared it might be pinkish but wasn't.

My DH assures me the total effect is not too mumsy or too girly though, without the recommendation, the smocking and slightly puffed sleeves might have put me off.

Looking forward to some really warm summer sun so I can wear them now.

polyhymnia · 10/04/2011 12:25

PS Mine don't smell either.

kittya · 10/04/2011 12:51

Am I missing something? where is the link to this fantastic dress as, Ive sent all my boden stuff back this year.

I do like the look of that bird dress from Warehouse, although, Im not sure if the colours will be too pale for me.

andiem · 10/04/2011 13:10

I have it too and it is a great fit especially if you are large of nork. There is no tummy cling. I am very pleased with it.

kittya · 10/04/2011 13:17

ok, Ive seen it now. Im not sure where I would wear it though. If I was going on a beach holiday, maybe.

FAB5 · 10/04/2011 13:21

That is a really pretty dress. I have awful calves though so does that mean I shouldn't wear it? Hate to think people think I look good when I don't. Can't do anything about my leg shape though.

I am a 14 on the bottom and 16/18 on top with breasts a 36F size. I have no idea about fashion!

polyhymnia · 10/04/2011 15:16

kittya - I can see why you say it's mainly a holiday dress. But, having tried it, could see myself wearing it in towns and villages on holiday, not just for the beach. Could also see myself wearing it for a variety of occasions, including casual parties, here in London suburbs if it was hot and sunny. A big if, admittedly!

polyhymnia · 10/04/2011 15:25

PPS Also thinking, when it's less hot or I'm feeling less brave, of wearing the blue and lilac ones as tunics, with dark blue ankle length skinnies - both seem to go well with dark denim.

cabbageroses · 10/04/2011 15:31

I am so tempted by that dress but it reminds me terribly of one I had when I was PG- and being small-ish i feel it may look like mutton as lamb.

I have posted a link under another thread about 2 new dresses on the Kew website- if anyone has a comment?

kittya · 10/04/2011 15:58

I havent seen them but that Wallis cherry one linked above does look nice and there is 25% off with Grazia. I might give it a try.
