do you venture out in public without makeup?

I am bog lazy and will avoid wearing make up just so that I don't have to take it off at night. However am leaving a trail of broken mirrors and screaming toddlers so probably should wear more make up. I manage mascara on a good day... what about you?

I have to wear tinted moisturiser and lip gloss before leaving my house

my boys get suspicious when i wear makeup...they know i'm going out!!! The youngest is 6 and the other day (when i had on an embroidered SHORT denim skirt) said "WHY do you look so pretty mummy?"
Now i can assure you i am NOT pretty...but this probably refers to the fact that he saw my opaque tight clad legs!!!!!

Damn MrsForget. My son always says I look pretty when I wear a skirt too and I always believe him. You've made me think its probably just the novelty and he's desparate for me to look more like a lady.

I wear make up everyday, eye make up, foundation, powder, lippy. I hate the way I look without it.

My children said I looked pretty last night - made up for our halloween party!

Im from the custy school of makeup!

I'll go to the school or to buy a paper without makeup but I always wear it if I'm going anywhere else. I wear foundation in winter, tinted moisturiser in summer, eyeliner, eyeshadow and lippy. I'd wear mascara if I could find one which didn't irritate my eyes and I sometimes get my eyelashes dyed.

hardly ever wear it in the day not even for the school run

If im going supermarket shopping or visiting people then i will but thats about it, but i do cleanse tone and moisturize every day with liz earle and i dont have any spots so i suppose its not too bad

I do try and waer make up. Never waer foundation though, even though I'm 44 - just waer a tinted moisturiserer. Just wear that, plus a wee bit of base on my eyelids plus some smudged eye pencil, mascara and lipstick/lipgolss. Have taken to using the lipstick for a wee touch of blusher as well - at least that way it matches! Also swear by mileral use of Touche Eclat. (I am 44!).

Actaully wore much more make-up when I was younger.

... but at weekends, I usually only wear it if I am going somewhere specail - eg yesterday to the mumsnet meet-up!

Don't bother if I'm just going to the supermarekt. And I rarely touch up during the day even at work, so by the end of the day, there's not much left!

But I'm also lazy, and don't ususually bother to take it off at night!

Fortunately I have a good skin!
