Which foundation for pale skin?

Sorry to start another foundation thread but who does good foundation for pale people? I have been searching for months as since the arrival of DD2 I need a bit more help than I did before! I am royally sick of make up counter people saying things like "this isn't the right colour for you but it will give you a bit more colour and you'll look healthier". I don't want to look darker, just more even. I see pics of people with great looking pale skin all the time and they are made up so it must be out there.

I am mid thirties with combination skin.

BWC foundations are orange, even the fair ones. Their mineral loose powder in translucent however, is excellent for pale of complexion.

I'd try Miessence Porcelain Translucent Foundation for very fair skin. It's organic and certified to food standards. Definitely no artificial chemicals at all! I buy from www.hilary.miessence.com

Chanel all make you look jaundiced if you are very pale, I find.
Another here who is fed up of most range's palest shades being too dark & yellow.
I use Revlon Age Perfect Fresh Ivory, Mac Studiofix NW15, Bare Escentuals Fair, or Laura Geller Porcelain. Most Estée Lauder don't work for me except their Lucidity Pale Ivory.

I use Urban Decay's palest one...I had MAC NC15 but that looks orange on me...I'm REALLY pale.

Are you the sales rep flogging the make up you link to AllThingshealthy?

Just askin' like.

Second Shiseido - I used to use their foundation all the time, currently on Make Up Forever HD, alternating with Illamasqua Skin Base and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk although I may branch out into YSL's Teint Éclat foundation in the near future.
All the above listed, in addition to Diorskin Nude do very pale foundations without the dreaded Tango effect. ( I'm just a foundation slaaaaaaaaag )

Yddraigdragon · 20/07/2012 19:19

Laura Geller (available on QVC) do a porcelain mineral powder which is very pale. Balance and Brighten...
And QVC do 30 day money back guarantee even if it is used....

Scarlet - I'm Confused at nc15 being too orange for you, it's so pale and so cool. Grin
I stopped using mac on advice of my dermatologist, and switched to lilylolo's palest shade (which is so pale that I plan to mix with a little of the next shade up for the rest of the summer). Loving it.

Had no problems with dry areas (moisturising with Argan oil). But if mineral make up doesn't appeal, OP, then Sisley do I really pale one too.

wonkylegs · 20/07/2012 20:59

Another one for Bobbi brown porcelain - I changed from the moisturising foundation to the stick when I was pregnant. It seemed to work better with my skin which changed thanks to hormones.

I use maybeline

if you have even vaguely dry skin keep away from the dream matt mousse as it can make you look flakey

I'm a red head and have found it gives me the best natural looking colour and it's a really good price

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 21/07/2012 07:49

DisorderlyNights - I know, right? I have the NC15 concealer and that's fine, but if I use the foundation I look like a clown! It's a shame as I love MAC (I won't buy any other eye-shadow or lipstick) and would have got a lighter shade if they did one. I am very pale though, and I don't like to use fake tan or anything as I have bleached white hair, so I use Urban Decay, or Illamasqua. I like the porcelain look Grin
